The low down

Lunchtime special mat class
The 45minute “lunchtime special” is a quick workout that breaks up the working day giving you a physical and mental break from the computer. It is a great way to squeeze in some exercise and relieve general aches and pains associated with sitting at a computer.

The cues and corrections we give you during the class will help you to be more aware of your posture throughout the working day. Focusing on the breath with the flowing movement of the Pilates exercises will relieve stress, and get you back into your body which will leave you feeling energised and ready to tackle the afternoon.

Mums and bubs mat class
The mums and bubs class is great for those that would like to get back into exercise and re build core strength after pregnancy. We focus on the working relationship of the abdominals, back and pelvic floor muscles to regain strength after pregnancy.  The babies are free to lay beside the mother or be in the pram or capsule. You can attend to your babies needs at any time during the class. Please bring a rug for your baby to lay on if you have them beside you. Suitable for babies up to 1 year old.

Beginner mat class
Our beginner’s classes are for those that have never tried Pilates before or for those that have had a long break.

Intermediate mat class
MG Pilates intermediate level mat classes are for those that have attended ten or more classes recently. We take it up a notch with more challenging exercises.

Open mat class
Open level classes are open to everyone. The class is  a mixture of beginner and intermediate exercises and if the instructor see’s fit they will throw in some more advanced repertoire to mix things up. If you are brand new to Pilates then we suggest that you take some beginner classes first to learn some technique.

Advanced mat class
Advanced level classes are not for the faint hearted! At MG we challenge your body with full body integration and exercises that flow one into the other. This class is set to music and will give you a great workout! For those who have attended a minimum of 20 mat classes.
