Our instructors are thorough, friendly and highly qualified. You won't have to strain your neck to follow what they are doing as the Pilates Mat Classes are structured so that the Pilates instructor demonstrates and teaches with hands on guidance and correction, giving you the best possible attention in a Pilates mat class situation. The exercises are set in sequence, toning the entire body with the focus on the core postural muscles (abdominals). As you get stronger and more familiar with the exercises the class intensity and flow will increase.
Pilates Mat Classes will improve your strength, posture and mobility giving you fast results.
Mat classes are for the absolute beginner to the experienced, however we strongly recommend studio sessions for those with injuries or discomfort as mat classes are for the able bodied. If you are unsure of you level we recommend an initial consultation to assess your needs.

Would you like to be more productive, energised and feel better physically during the working day? Do you suffer from aches and pains in the lower back, neck or shoulders?
A lunch time Pilates session is an excellent way of increasing your strength and flexibility, as well as relieving your general aches and pains from sitting at the computer for extended periods it will leave you feeling energised and ready to tackle the afternoon!
Pilates can help you manage the stress of the day and give you a mental break from work so that when you go back to your desk you feel refreshed and relaxed. Stretching out the muscles and working the core will help to re- align the posture and correct movement and strain patterns making you more aware of your posture while at work, at home and during other exercise practices.
Beginner
Our beginner mat classes are for those that have never tried Pilates before. We start at the very beginning teaching you the basic Pilates technique.
Intermediate
MG Pilates intermediate level mat classes are for those that have attended ten or more classes recently. We take it up a notch with more challenging exercises with full body integration.
Mums and Bubs
A class that is great for those that would like to get back into exercise and re build core strength after pregnancy. This a relaxed class that focuses on the working relationship of the abdominals, back and pelvic floor muscles. This is so important for new mums and vital for lifting baby in and out of the car, cot and holding the baby during breastfeeding. Suitable for babies up to 1 year old.

What should I wear/bring?
Clothing should be easy to move in but not too baggy. A clean pair of socks and a towel are a must for hygiene reasons. We provide mats and other small apparatus however feel free to bring your own.
